World’s most famous cocktails, in the Melvin restaurant by Martín Berasategui
The establishment of the multi-award winning Basque chef located in Las Terrazas de Abama, offers one of the best leisure plans for those coming to Tenerife.
Whatever the season, one of the best plans on the island of Tenerife is to go to Las Terrazas de Abama to enjoy fashionable cocktails with the bartender of the Melvin by Martín Berasategui. The sunsets in our complex of luxury tourist apartments, located in Guía de Isora, with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera, have made it one of the most fashionable places to end the day.
And all thanks to the fact that in Abama, without a doubt, we have the best climate in the world, with an average annual temperature between 18 and 24 degrees centigrade, that makes us the ideal place to visit from January to December.
At the pool bar and on the open-air terrace of the Melvin restaurant you can enjoy some of the most popular classic cocktails, such as Cosmopolitan, Singapore Sling, Bloody Mary, Whisky Sour, Kir Royal or Aperol Spritz. In addition, there is a line of 'frozen' cocktails to combat high temperatures. This is the case of mojitos, caipirinhas, daiquiris, piña coladas and margaritas.
Several of these combinations, according to the specialized magazine Drinks International, are among the 10 most demanded cocktails in the world in 2019, such as Whisky Sour (whisky, lemon juice, maple syrup, egg white. ...), daiquiri (white rum, lime and well crushed ice ...), the 'instagrammed' Aperol Spritz (Aperol, Prosecco or champagne brut and soda), or margarita (tequila, triple sec and lime or lemon juice).
Cocktails at the Melvin by Martín Berasategui restaurant are available to customers at the pool bar from 11:00 to 19:00 and at the same establishment from 18:30 to 22:30, where you can also enjoy a varied menu in which Mediterranean cuisine, the house brand, with Canary Island aromas, prevails, not forgetting the liturgy of the Basque rotisseries, which offers a wide range of grilled meat and fish.
The Melvin restaurant, which we are proud to host in our hotel, is the latest to be opened by the renowned Basque chef in Tenerife and is run by the chef Diego Dato. Both of them offer sophisticated cuisine made by the new values of the Berasategui house, a highly qualified team that has the privilege of being the youngest of those led by Martín.
